The Public Works Department is responsible for all aspects of the City’s infrastructure including:
- Sewer, Storm Sewer, and Water System
- Waste Water Treatment Plant Operation
- Streets and Sidewalks
- Snow Removal
- Compost Pile/Dump
- Parks Maintenance

The City of Cannon Falls has several parks with a variety of offerings from sports facilities, river access and trails as well as smaller neighborhood parks with a variety of playground equipment and amenities.
Hours of operation: Sunrise to sundown
Location: 825 Cannon River Avenue (north of Archie Swenson Softball fields)
Cannon Falls residents are free to deposit allowed items listed below in the appropriate compost piles.
What is allowed in the compost piles?
Stoughton Street West and 9th Street North
The pool property also has a skate park and ice skating rink in winter months.
