The City of Cannon Falls is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Public Works.  Position will begin in June 2025 and will not exceed 180 days in the calendar year.  Hours of work are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.  

Position will perform various grounds maintenance duties; load, unload and transport landscaping and maintenance equipment using a trailer; trim and prune trees and shrubs; assist with turf maintenance; support the maintenance and repair of park buildings, fences, and playground equipment; clean and maintain picnic pavilions, storage areas and public facilities; collect and empty trash receptacles; operate small power tools and light equipment; assist in Park & Recreation rules and regulations; report major maintenance concerns or safety hazards to supervisor; and perform other duties as assigned.  

Must be at least 18 years old; hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; capable of operating lawn care equipment, light machinery, and hand tools safely and effectively; perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions; be dependable and work independently; and possess good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions.
